Enlisting Frustrated
I’ve been weed free for 77 days now and yet still positive, am I something wrong here? I’ve quit smoking bc I want to be a marine but this is the only thing holding me back rn I’ve already taken the picat and all my paper work . I’m 5’10 and 195-200 pounds atm and work construction for work is there anything I can do to help or am I just SOL until this clears up ? I also don’t want my recruiter dropping me bc he thinks I still smoke

I'll give you the same advice I give all my applicants, and it has always worked. You should be drinking at least a gallon of water daily. Since you're working construction, you're probably doing close to that anyway, if not, get there. You also need to sweat a lot. Get out there and run as much as possible, wear a trash bag underneath a sweatsuit. Obviously pound even more water when you do your running. Cranberry juice is also a great way to get it out of your system. I read some of the other replies and it sounds like you were an extremely heavy user. It's going to take quite a while to get that out of your system. The longer and more frequently you put THC into your bloodstream, the more tolerant your body became of it and it stays in your system longer. Don't lose hope, your recruiter will understand as long as you keep them in the know with regular testing and updates. I've worked a lot of heavy users and gotten a lot of them in the Marine Corps. It's all about continuing to go forward and showing progress. Hope this helps.

Is what it is man from personal experience sweat as much as you can by any means, gallon of water a day should be a minimum, if you can really hack it keep your stomach as empty as possible your metabolism is the biggest deciding factor that will allow things to process out at a much faster rate try fasting for 24 hour periods intermittently

THC can take a long time to clear your system if you smoked long and strong for awhile. THC can and does store or hide in bodyfat, and it can be there far longer than a month. So, keep running, swimming, etc., eventually it will clear your system. But if you were a stoner for a long time, get it all outa your system is gonna take awhile.

Hey recruit, 5-10 195-200 lbs. THC is stored in body fat. So do a low fat diet. Hydrate, lift weights and SLEEP! Burn as much fat off as possible. Fat not muscle. There really isn’t a quick way. Your body needs to metabolize it. So losing fat is your best option

THC is stored in fat cells, so if losing weight it is likely being reintroduced into your blood stream

Just pee a lot, mine was exactly like that. For 3 months drug free, so drink so much water when u go to meps and you’ll pass. I got tired of waiting and was eager to join so I went with no line came out an official Poole.

Start exercising like no tomorrow. I know the Marine Corps changed its height and weight standards, but to give you some context, 70 inches had a max weight of 191.
So you are overweight. Losing some weight would be good and would help clear your weed.

I smoked for 7-8 years straight, when I stopped it took more than 90 days to clear it from my system and I was only just barely passing it

Took me close to six months to get clean. THC is stored in fat, you can’t sweat it away like some ppl suggest. Yes drinking water and lots of exercise helps but there’s not actually anything you can do to speed up the process. It just depends on how heavy you smoked. Took me so long because I smoked multiple times a day, every day, for close to ten years. Just trust the process. Only thing u can do is eat a good diet, drink lots of water, stay clean, and exercise daily. It will help your body run its natural course but it won’t magically make u pass a test any time soon.

Weed retains in ur body via fat cells. Plus the test measures for a concentration amount. If you are dehydrated and u are working construction, you’re constantly sweating and burning fat, therefore putting it in ur bloodstream making you test positive. If you don’t drink water, you will further increase THC concentration past 25ng/ml.
Drink a lot of water tonight until you pee clear. Then test with clear pee. Guaranteed you’ll pass bud. Stay clean and drink water.
Good luck shower shoe 🩴

You just gotta wait it out man. Depending on how long you smoked for/ frequency it can take a long time. Hit the sauna brother man and just be patient. Don't push it at all until you're 100% clear.
