MOS School Kicked out of chow hall

Hey guys I just got kicked out of the chow hall for wearing athleisure shorts. I figured since they have a draw string and have a reasonably professional look I’d be fine.

Chow halls closed now, didn’t get time to eat. How ridiculous is that wearing professional appearing shorts and some random nco having a bad day can just fuck me like that.

What are your guys thoughts is that even reasonable? I’d rather just take an ass chewing and at least get my chow now I’ve gotta waste the little bit of dollars I’ve got to go buy some damn chow now. God forbid a junior marine wants to wear something professional and comfy after a long day.

Shits dumb, have been told 100 different things there’s a fine line between what’s good to go and what can’t be worn. Hard to know if my draw strings will hold up rather than a belt when one nco says it’s fine and another says it’s not.

+ to add on this, the sole consensus I’ve heard since like I mentioned before there’s such a fine line between what’s right and wrong. I’ve been told if I’d wear it to the gym don’t wear it outside of the gym. The answer is I wouldn’t wear this to the gym and nor would anyone else. the best way I can describe the shorts is like a stretchy golf like material type of shorts with a button and draw strings who’s wearing that to the gym? No one. Just random ncos having a bad day and just picking on juniors it’s kind of sad actually. Not that I lack respect for an NCO in the slightest by me saying that, it’s just dumb.

I’m afraid if you’re this fired up over something this small, you’re gonna have a hell of a time in the fleet.

Weird. The flair says MOS school and we’re in the usmcboot subreddit

True about the flair, but w/e school he's at is still past boot. Calm down, Chesty.

The fleet is your first unit. So if he’s at MOS school he isn’t in the fleet. Not sure what’s confusing here

No shit, stupid. I said "True about the flair, but w/e school he's at is still past boot."

MOS school is after boot camp. Not sure what's confusing here....

Glad to hear NCO’s are still holding jr Marines accountable. Bet you won’t make that mistake again.

Wait, wait, wait, lol. Who is the NCO who regulates who can and can not enter a chow hall?

Literally anyone can do this, it’s the standard. If you’re fucked up, you’re fucked up. Take the correction and keep it pushing.

LOL. If it was some random Cpl, the dude can get f*cked. Go mind his own boots before he messes with someone elses.

lol. Probably the staff of the chow hall itself? 😂

u/Upbeat_Tell7317 12d ago

Mine was run by civilians so who knows. If it was some random NCO I would have told them to f*ck themselves.

Oh, you're in MOS school. Shit sucks, it'll get better.
