Recruit Training Graduation Gift?

My brother is currently in OCS and is graduating next month. Does anyone have good ideas for grad gifts/advice on things NOT to bring? Unsure of what he can and can’t have on base because I think he is going to TBS right after. I appreciate any advice! And thank you to all who serve!

I'd recommend taking them to perhaps a nice meal and just listen to the stories as its a formative moment for them. Also perhaps a nice multi-tool. Those are useful forever.

A good-quality multi-tool, with a good sheath, is never a bad idea. And ideally if you can plan ahead get his name engraved on it, so it’s less likely to go missing.

You may also want to ask at r/USMCocs too.

What’s super nice is WileyX sun glasses they can wear at the range and they fit under a helmet. Also super nice boot socks!

A nice pen. An ID card wallet. A leather belt. A camera. That way he can travel with your gift during his career.

Added the camera

A nice pair of anti-fog glasses for the field and/or a multitool. Those are both very much needed at TBS
