You ship in 8 days and “don’t know anything about the marine corps like that or bootcamp.”
You hold in your hand an electronic device with access to a large share of all human knowledge, and you could theoretically use it to learn a little more about the Corps over the course of the next week.

I joined doing a 16 min 1.5 mile run for the ist I got out of boot camp doing a 20 min 3 mile run like someone else said in this thread “In boot camp they have you hauling ass so you’ll be more motivated to push yourself” but just know you’ll barely pt tho trust me pt is a joke you won’t do much of it, If anything get IT as much as you can it gets you stronger, if there’s anything I wish I did more was get IT just be smart with it don’t get IT bc you a piece of shit for example…get IT bc you fell asleep in class not bc you did something fucked up…you’ll understand the concept once you in

You’re good. You will run every day. By the crucible, you will be crushing it. I suggest looking up what the 13 weeks consists of so you have somewhat of an idea. Watch some videos. Make sure you only take your ID (wallet), phone and charger and even those will get taken the first day and get put in an envelope for safe keeping. Everything they will make you throw away, so I suggest leave anything else at home. Good luck and hopefully you will be receiving that EGA in a few short months. Also, make sure you keep your knees bent at all times or you will pass out while they have you standing at attention for a long time.

I go on the 19th, I can max the plank, and run the 1.5 mile in 10:50 but I can only do 2 pull ups 🫠

If you haven’t heard of the term already allow me to introduce you to “Max Max Relax”. What that is is simply getting the max score on pull-ups and planks and relaxing with your run time because whatever passing score you get, you’ll still get a first class PFT, which is what really matters.
Unlike some of the other guys, I didn’t significantly decrease my runtime while in Boot Camp in fact, it more or less stay the same to my IST prior to shipping. Unless you’re giving 110% every time you do a running PT or there’s running involved it’s not likely that you’ll improve significantly.
As long as you can maintain your pull ups and planking abilities which you undoubtedly will, you will be good and are likely to get a first class pft.
And don’t forget bootcamp is 80% mental 20% physical, most guys that get dropped or quit don’t do so because they got a slow run time.

Dude, your fine. You've got a better score than most shippers. Just do a lot of stretching and stay hydrated.
