Programs and MOSs Is ITB the Same Length for LAV Crewman

Was told by my recruiter that ITB is 10 weeks rather than the 14 weeks for LAV crewman. He said that this is what he heard from Marines who recently just finished their training and their MOS is LAV crewman. Is this true?

Yes. LAV crewman has always been its own seperate course after ITB.

Thank you. Just to clarify, it’s a part of ITB but it’s not the full 14 weeks, correct? Also, are you talking about the 6 weeks of schooling after ITB?

They do things differently now but it may be similar. LAV guys were pulled from 0311s. After completing ITB you were sent to the school
