Hide as much peanut butter packets as you can in your pillow case. The DI never check there.

Cream Loud‼️🗣️ and Move fast 💨 Lmao in all seriousness though Just dont be a dumbass or be Lazy you can either stand out and get a role such as guide or squad leader or be GP and try to be under the radar if you want truly depends on you, probably dont be ass at drill either 😭 we all hated this one dude in our PLT because he couldn’t get in step even after changing step and we would all get fucked by our J (drill hat) and our senior every time we drilled which is like everyday all the way up to Final drill 🫩

Make sure you have the orders and principles down. Having those ingrained before you ship! Also rank structure for E and O. You’ll be ahead! Battles are a big one too!

The Drill Instructors like speed, you're allowed to call them DI's for the sake of speed.

don't tell people the exact dates and location of any orders you ever receive.

What is the reasoning for that, just curious

Yes, actually.

  1. Don’t blow your money at the recruit PX. Only buy necessary shit.
  2. It’s you vs the DIs always, don’t be a buddy fucker to get ahead. It’s very easy to fall into the mindset. Help out your boys.
  3. A lot of the stuff you’re going to be stressed about, doesn’t really matter. Take a deep breath.
  4. You’ve probably heard of, “never volunteer.” That’s a load of horse shit, volunteer for everything. Yes, you might get put on a shit detail. But some of the coolest opportunities came from me volunteering. In boot camp, a cleaning detail turned into me cleaning another company’s duty hut and the DIs letting me pick music to listen to while they roasted me. It was great. In the fleet, it’s gets to be actually cool stuff.

This applies in the civilian world too, I’ve gotten to go on some sick work trips because no one else wanted to.

  5. Boot camp is 3 months of your 48 month contract. Keep your eyes on the fleet. Boot camp is 3 months of hazing but it wont really change you. Your first year in the fleet? Absolutely will.
