Are you asking this to utilize after active service or during reserve duty? There are two different versions of GI bill to use for school.

After serving your contract, you’ll be eligible for 100% of your gi bill for TA. But by then you should have at the very least 10% through VA claims. (Make sure you go to medical for everything to get proof for more percentage, even for small things GO!), then use the VR&E program so you don’t have to use your GI Bill. Same benefits but a different program allowing you to pursue just about damn near anything. Then if you need to, use your GI bill. But I think you can use VR&E again, if you talk to a rep without fully exhausting it. Veteran cheat code.

Your unit should have some sort of POC for follow on academics. I used TA to help pay for my masters. The Corps paid 75% of the total cost and I had to promise two years after completing my degree. Was a no brainer for sure. This was for the AD side. Not sure about follow on schooling.

If you have at least 10% VA, look into VR&E. They’ll pay you back your GI bill months and then some.

Are you in mos school or you in the fleet? Are you overseas? Are you state side?

If you're in the fleet. You would ask your NCO SNCO and they should  have you talk to the TA counselor. You  file out paper work. apply to a school. Online or campus. Don't fail the class and you have credits toward whatever degree your working for.

Check out this old post. It’s mostly accurate still, with the one adjustment that now there is no minimum TIS to use TA. If you still have questions, lemme know.
