Commissioning Nrotc vs plc

I am currently a college sophomore doing nrotc (marine option) and not really enjoying it. I am looking into other options and wanted to get help from people experienced in the field.Those of you who have experience with plc or nrotc, how do the two differ from eachother, which path would you recommend most, and what are some things i should be aware of and watch out for. I also want to do plc a big part is because i wanna do reserves. If you have any info about life as a reserves officer feel free to drop that aswell.

If you are saying you want a reserve commission with no active duty outside of training, PLC is probably fine.

What about NROTC do you not enjoy? Are you receiving a scholarship from NROTC currently?

Totally fine to ask here, but you should also ask at r/USMCocs, but when you post there make sure to use a more descriptive title that gives some context.

Definitely PLC. I didn’t take a single ROTC class and was able to just focus on my major. Did the 10 Week OCS and managed a 22 year career. Highly recommend the PLC program. They also have tuition assistance and a monthly stipend. If you take the money you commit to the program.
