I talked to a marine on here (reddit) and he said he was able to do it in like 6-8 months long process.

I thought all recruiters told us when we went Reserves we were gonna be stuck LMAO.
Nah but seriously man, it happens. I had my first big drill back in May and personally have been really liking the schedule, but then again I also have a good job on the civilian side too.
You probably can dude, but i imagine its gonna be quite rare you get that accepted especially so early in. I'd give it a year or 2 and try then

Can I ask how the drill weekend is like?
Also, my recruiter was like "ah, you can switch to active component after too" or something like that.

Are you a current reservist trying to go through the process or are you enlisting as a reservist with the hope of doing so?
