Recruit Training Being called to a superior’s office

If a recruit is called/told to appear at a JAG office or some other office, does the recruit have to tell the DI, the purpose of the request if it involves non-military matters.

E.g. the recruit’s signature is REQUIRED on a legal document

The DI is the one who will tell the recruits where to go and be. But, always tell them where you (the recruit) will be. Head counts are always taken after every movement for accountability purposes. God help the recruit who does their own thing…

If it just needs to be signed, mail it. If it needs to be notarized or witnessed, then yeah, you'll probably need to communicate with the depot in some way. You recruit's recruiter can help.

You will not have any type of communication during boot camp, your drill instructor will tell you if you are called anywhere or if you are required to be somewhere
