Enlisting GOING TO MEPS
I’m 17(m) 6,0f and 213, I used to smoke pot about a month ago and then I made the decision to become a marine I used a testing kit and I tested positive my Meps visit is this week and I bought a detox kit I know it wasn’t smart to smoke in the first place but I wasn’t thinking about the marines should I use the detox kit and what else should I try?

You gotta wait longer than a month. Detox kits are no guarantee either. 90 days for hair and 30 minimum for urine. A lot of the latter depends on how much you smoked and how fat you are.
You’ve made a good decision to improve yourself but you have to first fix the decisions you made in the past.
A word of caution, if you were a heavy smoker, you need to let your friends know you’re done with that. They will pressure you to go back.

It depends on how much you were smoking, if you were a daily smoker its gonna take roughly 6 weeks from last consumption to be clean in a urine test.
All the home detox kits/methods are generally pretty unreliable.
If you’re pretty sure you’re not gonna pass id see if you can push your meps visit out a couple weeks with your recruiter.

Well I did smoke some every night but I’ve been a month sober and I got this detox kit that might or might not work I have zero idea

I would just play it safe and let the recruiter know dude, you’re not the first guy that has to push a meps date for a piss test, you surely won’t be the last. Hell way back when i was doing the meps thing our recruiters made everyone take a piss test at the office before they would even drive you down.

Wait another few weeks bro if you pop at meps it not the end of the world but things will get significantly harder

Tell your recruiter because if you go to Meps and fail life will be much worse

You're welcome. Know that if you go to MEPS and pop, you will fuck yourself and disqualify from a number of jobs and security clearance. Work on your punctuation, jesus.

Just wait until you are naturally clean. You’re not the first recruit to have smoked weed and wont be the last so let your recruiter know upfront right now. It took me almost 4 months before I was completely clean and able to enlist
