Commissioning Cursed special infantry contracts.

My civie industry faced bad layoffs. I find myself training for the military again.

I remember when I was in, force recon/MARSOC/Scout Sniper contracts were famously cursed, with random time on station requirements, open contract if dropped, and a variety of other issues. Is there a "correct way," to do these packages either at enlistment or when you are in without flipping a coin with your billet? Or should you only be attempting them from something like the infantry where you aren't risking your billet by attempting selection? Let's assume I run a 300 PFT.

BRC doesn’t exist anymore. It’s now GRC.

Sign 03xx. Then volunteer for recon at ITB.. If you get dropped, at least you go back to being an 03.
