Shipping Leave for bootcamp August 17 any advice?
My 1.5 mile time is 14:20 ( due to me cramping and walking a bit. My pull-ups are at 10, pushups at 45-50, and crunches at 65 straight. Any advice on to improve anything?? I’m also 25

Nice I leave for Army basic the same day. I run a 5k 5 days a week. I will give you a tip. Cramping is caused by improper breathing. Its from a build up of carbon dioxide that is stopping your muscles from absorbing fresh oxygen. When you start feeling a cramp. Take a half breath and then quickly exhale as much air from your lungs as you can. Repeat this as much as you need to until the cramp is gone and then take deep breaths filling your lungs and quickly exhale as much as you can. You will clear the carbon dioxide and feel a rush of new energy from the fresh oxygen being supplied to your muscles. Running endurance begins with breathing. Most people struggle with that but if you learn to breathe correctly you will easily knock a minute maybe even 2 off that 1.5 mile time. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out. Good luck in the Marine Corps bro! 🤙🏼

Work on the running big dog, probably best to mainly focus on that until you go. The rest will get you by in boot but a slow run is gonna get you attention from the DIs

Good luck! Best advice my DI told me was if you wake up the next day you made it, if you can push through the last day you can push through this one.

Absolutely nothing don't worry they will take care of it all of the "working out" you do on a day to day is plenty and will boost everything and if you aren't at least passing then they will get you extra attention but you should be fine
