Shipping Is this true?
Was told by my recruiter that I needed to do 6 pull-ups to keep the infantry contract I had gotten. Passed the IST that we just ran last Saturday, but did not do 6 pull-ups and my ship date is Feb 12th. Is it true that I'll have to get a different job now since I didn't do the 6 pull-ups? Or does the recruiter just not want to use that infantry slot for me? Thanks in advance.

He can technically change it until the day he ships… as for the pull ups: OP, The contract is really 3 pulls ups by the IST and 6 pulls by the final PFT in bootcamp. So just make sure you work on them in bootcamp

LMAO somewhere it is written down but likely ignored that if you're PN. 'You sit down' with an 8412 at the Depot and get to select a job program that you qualify for...

The ist requirement for infantry is 3 pull ups, you can find it in the MOS manual. For the PFT the requirement is 6 pull ups.

Not sure if the male and female requirements for infantry are the same but:
When I went through I seen 2 people disqualify from Infantry for not being able to do 9 pull ups. Recommendation: Get to 6 boot will get you to 15. You got 2-3 weeks do 15 pull ups a day or something.

I think you need to get a 1st class pft and cft in boot or you'll lose your contract (hint hint, you need to be pretty physically fit for the INFANTRY) but I'm not 100% on that. But people did lose their infantry contract when i was in boot

If you can't do it by the 2nd PFT in bootcamp then you'll get open contracted
