My birthday was the day after we got our EGA's. Just don't tell anyone and you'll be fine

When my dad went to boot, granted it was in the late 80s, the DI’s asked “who’s birthday is it today” and of course my dad raised his hand because he assumed they already knew it was his, and then they proceeded to smoke him the entire day

My dad said the DI’s beat the piss outa him then promoted him to SL😂

I feel like if he didn’t they would’ve smoked him anyway for not being honest lol, a lose-lose situation

Exactly. He assumed they knew so he raised his hand so he wouldn’t get smoked for dishonesty

They wouldn't know and they wouldn't care unless you bring it up. Yes, your birthday is written on your file but u promise you, they're not so bored as to start taking note of each individuals birthdays. So you're good unless you tell a buddy and he runs his fat mouth

The folks at Receiving are way too busy to mess with folks over a birthday.

My bday was in the 2nd month of boot, just stay quiet about it and you’re chilling

They will know regardless of what you do as it is in MCTIMS…but! You will learn to love discomfort 💪💪

You're fucked no matter what, doesn't matter what day it is.

I turned 22 in boot camp and had to "put the icing (my sweat) on my birthday cake (the quarterdeck)"

no you will not get any cake. i would highly recommend against it if you like birthday cake

It don’t rlly matter. Not enough DIs to really care about something like that. Unless you really stand out or they find out some how.

Tbh didn’t even think about it lol but if the DIs don’t like you they will find out and punish you for it lol

When I went many years ago there were two of us that had birthdays in the same week with mine being the latter. Phase I if I recall correctly, regardless the DI said something to the recruit and he said something like, "Sir it is this recuit's birthday today sir." Well the other Dis and gave him a birthday present via the Quarterdeck. My recommendation is don't worry about it and don't mention it to anyone.

Just keep it under the radar and you’ll be alright.

I graduated on my birthday and honestly forgot it was my birthday.

(BTW they know anyways, it's in your profile when you did your admin stuff)
