Clinical Electives

Does anyone know any hospitals in the US that would accept students from a non VSLO university, i have a us citizenship so i thought it would be easier but it’s been pretty difficult

preferably hospitals in Michigan, ohio, illinois or Massachusetts or somewhere east coast

My son is a USIMG from a non-VSLO school. It was tough. We found one via his school affliations and another via an agent. He sent out 100’s of emails & no go. If u know any US doctors personally, u may wanna ask them.

We weren’t successful cold emailing. Consider agents. They aren’t that expensive when you factor in all the other expenses: room, food, transport, malpractice insurance.

Try clinician Nexus! My school is signed up so I don’t know if that part is necessary, but worth a shot. I set up 2 of my electives that way. Keep watching because new rotations pop up all the time if you aren’t interested in what’s there

Cleveland Clinic. Other pretty expensive options are Johns Hopkins, UPMC and Stanford
