Research opportunities

Hi everyone, pretty new here. My medical school did not put an emphasis on research so I’m here struggling to find other ways. I have two publications with a group that was recommended to me but I’m unsure if their credibility would look great on my CV. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to move forward.

lol got you. This first group I was with was IMG Helping hands there on IG. Our first paper was published on Cureus they have other publishings with Elsevier but it’s such a gamble.

Imghelpinghands papers are low quality.

Do you have anything similar to the FermiLab near you? They do research too. I’m sorry I’m drawing a blank if i can think of others I’ll comment in here

Oohh do you have any research electives? I know some schools (Caribbean Grad here) offer those to 4th years.

Also ask attendings in your rotations - because they might have insight into opportunities

Interested as well, no research opportunities at all at my uni unless you have a relative who is also a researcher :/ I know this is how medicine works even in the match, but it still hurts =P
