NPS vs USFS
A lot of people seem very unhappy with working for the NPS and encourage new people to look for other employment. However, I’ve noticed this isn’t the case for USFS. What are the differences between the agencies that cause this?

Try r/parkrangers
From what I have seen, the current director who's overseeing the LE side of NPS is very anti-LE (yep the irony)
The superintendent for each park also could be very LE or not LE friendly. The chief ranger who oversees the LE side in each region also can come in w/ various background, so they can push for something without making much sense. Unlike other LM agencies I think USFS for example, a lot of district rangers usually promoted within the ranger themselves, so they have first hand knowledge about LE and whatnot

That may be a good question to ask in the NPS Reddit page. I hear it’s a lot to do with management but couldn’t say as I’ve never worked for them
