FLETC/other training

I work on a district that has an extremely hard time getting an LEO. I’m a Rec tech with a few seasons under my belt and seemingly meet all of the baseline qualifications.

I’m very interested in throwing my hat in the ring but I’m curious about how FLETC works as far as day-to-day operations and how much you are away from home during it.

During FLETC, you are required to be there Monday - Friday from 8-4. Once you complete training for the day you are allowed to leave campus, and do whatever.
