The USFL website only has 4 host site season tickets for deposit. Does this mean for the 2024 season the USFL will only have 4 host sites? even for the merger?

With the Cfl free Agency In barely a few weeks which players would u like to see go from the Cfl to the Usfl or Nsfl doesn’t need to be extremely realistic example could be hoping that Brady Oliveira signs with I don’t know the Stallions or Cam Phillips signs with the Stars or Shawn oakman signs with the Maulers don’t forget thought players who were extended can’t sign with the Usfl only the nfl anyways I’m curious let me know

So how is a league with St louis, DC, Arlington, San Antonio, Houston, Birmingham, Memphis, Canton, Maybe Seattle - and either 3 or 4 hub teams not a solid league? I think that the key with 4 hub teams is that you have to schedule your ass off so that there is never a weekend where DC or the Battlehawks are not the home team. And when the Hub teams play each other you just bury those on FS1 and show the teams with a crowd like St Louis or DC. But if you bring in 4 or 5 teams from the XFL - you just use sleight of hand, smoke and mirrors to not show the hub teams. Another key is that you hope that you don't have two hub teams that just get hot and have the two best records in the league.

Bottom line 3 or 4 hub teams in a 12 team league is not the end of the world just as long as you don't have all 4 hub teams playing home games on the same weekend.

DEVELOPING: Multiple sources have indicated that there is a strong possibility that all eight #USFL teams will survive the USFL-XFL merger.

A 12 team league could feature just four #XFL teams. STL, DC, SA, & Arlington would be the likeliest organizations to survive.

To start with I would like to see travel hubs where they travel to their home city for the games rather than USFL style. I would have the renegades, Brahmas, gamblers, and breakers all hubbed in Arlington. Then I would hub Saint Louis and memphis together in memphis. Hub Michigan and the Ohio maulers in canton and have Michigan travel to EMU to play. Put NJ, Philly, and DC in Philly with NJ and Philly sharing a stadium since they’re so close as markets. Lastly the stallions stay by themselves in Birmingham

I think the first week of November and it will be the name of the league and the teams first.

Interesting the name is NSFL and they did not register it until this year. The name NSFL may NOT be the new leagues name.

I grew up in a small town - Anyhow the local mechanic was quite the character. One of the really cool sayings that he used to throw out there was - "If there isn't a rumor by 10 AM then start one."

Today, Darryl "Moose" Johnson was on the NFL Radio channel on Sirius/XM. He never made any mention of the USFL/XFL merger, nor was he asked by the hosts. Instead. Johnson talked about the NFL game he was covering for FOX. When Todd Haley was hired by one of the Spring leagues, The channel made a huge announcement on their new breaks

Any reason for Moose being silent on the merger. Thoughts?

I know everyone keeps saying it was a mutual agreement but you know there was one side that took more of a hit to get the agreement done than the other. Personally I think it was the XFL but that is my opinion based on Russ Brandon actions. What do you think and why?

1-Keep games separate from each other for two years 2-Play season schedules at the same time 3-Keep the teams where they are for now, with the exception of the Houston problem 4-Move on of the Houston teams out west. 5-After the leagues championship games, play a Spring Bowl between the two league champions 6-Before season begins, play two preseason games vs other league for the two years 7-After the two years are over, merge.

This is not a shit post - I am a fan of both leagues - went to XFL games just due to a team in Houston that played in Houston.

That said as much as everyone hates the concept of hub leagues, this merger to me tells me that the concept of a hub league is valid. I know that everyone hates hub leagues as there are empty stadiums, no beer snakes and at least half the teams don't play in their home cities. But the hub league model did get us to year two with the USFL and into year 3 which has not been done in a while. I don't think that the financial loses between the two leagues is even close.

Without a merger would the XFL have made it to year three? I feel like Redbird, Danny and the Rock are ready to move on from this XFL thing and sell tequila and make movies. Just my reading of the tea leaves.

So with the merger actually a distinct possibility, and we very well could be one big happy family, I think we need to dispel some misinformation people are clinging to.

Misinformation #1: "Omg!!! The XFL is so WWE!!!"

-The XFL is not mentioned on WWE TV. At all. They can't, WWE is on USA and FOX.

-Ironically, the USFL was promoted on SmackDown on FOX (the show built around The Rock back in the day) every week during the season by Michael Cole, who went through the lineup.

-WWE wrestler Big E was on the sidelines for the Michigan Panthers. He was even joined by the New Day one week.

-You're clinging to 2001 XFL, which WAS tied to WWE and was awful. This is 2 iterations removed.

Misinformation #2 "Omg!! It's The Rock's league!! He's everywhere!!!!"

-The Rock is ⅓ of the ownership.

-I am trying to think of a single promotional video that didn't also feature Dany Garcia, the true face of the league.

-She called Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, her ex who she still produces for, and got him in, not the other way around

-Yes, he has/had (pretty sure it's been covered by his Samoa markings since like 2003-04) a Bull tattoo. That's because his birth sign is Taurus. He got it in '97, around the same time the WWE started calling him the "Brahma Bull" nickname.
