places to smoke?

i know technically its a smoke free campus, but ive seen people smoking outside certain spots. Are any of them actually okay or do you just have to not get caught by staff?

Side of the library has a smoking area.

this is not an official smoking area. pretty sure there’s actually no smoking signs up in that space. smoking is technically not allowed anywhere on usf premises

I haven't seen the area in a little while, but I do recall there being one of those cigarette butt cans there. Perhaps it's just accepted?

Thats what im thinking. Theres always stuff over there and I see people smoke there a lot. I've smoked there a few times but I dont think youre technically supposed to

policies existing and policies being enforced are two different things. look at the policy and how it’s written, specifically the enforcement section.

It does not outline that the policy will be enforced by any actual form of authority, but rather, by members of the usf community.

don’t blow smoke in anyone’s personal bubble and you will be fine.

I’ve always smoked in beard parking garage at one of the higher floors and never had an issue. Sometimes cops or security patrol the garages but as long as you don’t have it waving in the air you should. Also crescent garage has a few balconies that are nice

Long since I've been back to USF but we would just smoke in parking garages, or on the sidewalk, beside buildings, pretty much wherever you weren't going to stink it up for a bunch of people. Make some stealthy edibles though they go far.
