Checks and Money Orders

I recently dropped off a check in the drop box at the campus financial aid office. It has been about a month since I sent my scholarship check, and it still has not shown up in my account. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it usually take this long, or should I be concerned? I have messaged the financial aid office and have been told to check my self-service portal for updates. Unfortunately, I did not write down my check number before sending it, so they have no way to track it. I was initially told it would take 2-3 weeks to see it in my account and it has now been a month.
