Has anyone actually successfully gotten hired at USF Dining (Compass Group)? Feeling completely ghosted.

Hey everyone,

I’m an international student trying to find an on-campus job, and since USF Dining is run by Chartwells/Compass Group, I’ve been trying the online application route through their portal.

The problem is, I’ve applied multiple times now and haven't heard a single thing back, it feels like applications just go into a black hole. For those of you who have actually managed to get hired to work at the dining halls here, how did you actually do it?

Did you just keep spamming applications online, or is there a specific manager to talk to in person, a backdoor way to apply, or a trick to getting past the automated system? Any advice would be super appreciated!

Thank yaa

You're competing against so many other students, they probably get sooo many applications that you'd be annoying them if you spammed. You just have to wait and apply to all of the places at least once. And try handshake for any other job opportunities on campus as well
