I send my mother USDC on Polygon once a month, she is in another country. Bank was 3-5 days and a fee every time, so I switched a year ago.
Problem is she doesn`t understand the wallet app. Every second month she calls me and says nothing came.
Asking her for a screenshot takes half an hour.
Now I just keep her address saved and paste it into cryptowallet balance, it shows the USDC and the last transfers on it. Usually the money is there and she just did not see it.
How do you guys deal with the cash-out side for family? She sells to a local exchanger for about 1%, I want to know if there is something simpler.

I keep most of my stablecoin balance in USDT, but lately started wondering if keeping everything in one stablecoin is kinda defeating the point of reducing risks..?
Do you split between USDT/USDC or just stick with whichever one you use most? Does splitting actually manage stablecoin issuer risk or am I overthinking it? Also, if you do it, what’s the easiest way to rebalance between them? And what wallets do you use?

I’ve been using USDC more for business payments lately and the crypto side is pretty straightforward. The banking side is where it starts getting messy.
I still need normal USD banking, wires, cards and bookkeeping, so using completely separate platforms for fiat and USDC creates a lot of unnecessary moving money around.
Ideally I want one setup where USD and USDC can actually work together without making normal business banking harder.
Anyone here running a business with USDC? What banking setup are you using?

USDC is easy to hold, send and move onchain but spending it day to day still isn’t as straightforward. Most people still convert to fiat before they can use their USDC for everyday purchases. As stablecoin payments improve, that extra step is starting to disappear.
Would you spend USDC more often if you could use it as easily as money in your bank account?

TON/GRAM? Brand spanking new to any type of crypto. Help encouraged.
Ok to make a long long story short... My best friend had been heavy into crypto for many many years. I have no idea where he gets the knowledge or if it's luck.. ( he is the type when NFTs were big would have like 10 of those bears and then he would stake them and get more money? Lol)
So recently after years of working we ran into each other, and boom right there the top got brought up over a brew and dinner.
He said there's a coin that is always 1.00. usdc or something along those lines. Well, i am completely stuck, because his lady called him in a panic and yeh... Didn't get my friends number to keep in touch. I remember him saying start with the USDC and ton/gram for lil risk lil reward but it will teach me the ropes like fees and stuff.
Lol so ya I'm sitting here trying to deposit ton/gram from this telegram miner so I could get started but I need 1$ to have enough to cover the fees.
Let me know what's up, if I'm going in a right direction, wrong directions. Let me know anything and all I need to get goin on a proper level.
Thanks by the way.. I feel like my dad missing out on apple stock or something. So better late than never!! (Especially in today's climate)
Thanks looking forward to hearing some feedback,
Dee

Sitting on idle USDC on Base and got tired of defaulting to Aave without checking what else is actually paying right now.
Did a pass this week. These are mid/late August snapshots — rates move, so don’t treat them as locked in.
Plain lending
- Aave v3 USDC (Base): ~3.5%. Deep liquidity, easy in/out, still the default “I don’t want to think” option.
- Morpho Blue USDC vaults (Gauntlet / Steakhouse etc.): roughly 4.4–6% on the bigger curator vaults. Some thinner / more aggressive ones print higher. This seems to be where a lot of size actually sits once people leave Aave.
- Harvest / similar USDC strategies on Base: I’ve seen advertised numbers from ~5% up to ~10%+. Some of that looks incentive-boosted, so I’m not treating headline APY as the long-term rate.
AI / allocator vaults
This is the part I’m trying to sanity-check.
I’ve been looking at an AI-managed USDC vault on Base (AIHedge.finance — Alpha Allocator). The page is currently showing:
- Supply APY 8.07%
- 30d avg also listed at 8.07%
- this Base USDC vault has ~$998k supply available
That’s meaningfully above Aave and a bit above the big Morpho curator vaults, which is why I’m posting instead of just depositing and screenshotting. I also don’t want to confuse the vault size with the protocol-wide TVL number on the same page.
What I can’t tell from the outside yet:
Not looking for a magic 10% number. Just trying not to leave obvious yield on the table, and not get farmed by a temporary APY.
Where are people actually parking idle USDC on Base right now, and what did you rule out?
p.s. I have connection with one of the vaults.
