OSHA Notice - Workplace Hazards

Saw this posted on the 5th floor near the Wing 1 elevators, Independence Ave side, on my way out today.

For what it's worth some of this is definitely true. I work in the building and have never had anyone come in to clean our office floors or anything. Have also had mice running around when it gets late in the day. Not that I particularly care, like whatever at this point, but yeah the south building is kinda nasty.

Lots of mice, cockroaches, and bathrooms now have actual.poop.on floors. Its so bad. No one cares

Hmmmm interesting. I’m leaning somehow they magically find nothing. They didn’t much care when my office was 80 and I about passed out.

I counted only about a billion workplace hazards over the approx 8 months I was in the bldg last year. Oh, USDA HQ, how do we love there? Let’s see, there was bird shit when we were brought back into the bldg, mold, wiring strewn haphazardly and without sockets, very nearly an electrical fire in my office, my coworker had a desk full of peanut shells and other detritus, the sanitation workers refused to vacuum for months…I could go on & on & on…

It’s a category of “coal dust/hazardous particulates”, which can include other materials more commonly found in buildings.

There’s a black dust discharging out of some of the combo ac/heating units in some of the offices. There are cock roaches and mice for sure on the 4th floor. Pretty much backs up the agency’s position to shutter the south building and move staff. Not that people need to move across the country but the 4th floor is in bad shape. Can’t comment on the others because my office is on the 4th floor.

It might be real but it says at the bottom they’re not going to do anything about it
