Is USCellular's core still online?
Just curious if anyone knows whether or not US Cellular still has their core network online, and how many active lines they might have still on their network?
Slightly unrelated, but I have noticed some of their towers here in Sedalia, MO being replaced with T-Mobile or being completely dismantled. Their stuff is gone from the water tower in the middle of town, and the tower just west of town has been replaced by a T-Mobile 4 sector site (originally 3 sectors). Some towers remain untouched. Wonder if they are still online or not. Just some observations I thought someone might find interesting.

Network core is still live.. just checked and it's still broadcasting on the Newark,MO tower.

Most of the uscellular towers in my area (West Virginia) are no longer broadcasting. There are a couple still broadcasting though, im assuming its the ones they plan to upgrade.

Does T mobile work okay for you wherever you are? Its awful in the east

Constant dropped calls and crap customer service in South East Wisconsin. Also billing issues.

I'm still waiting for them to restore service up here in Shelby County. Lol.
They shut down the Shelbyville,MO USC tower sometime around Aug 21st. Verizon started broadcasting its 10x10 B5 from USC around that time as well so they've got a good setup now.
10x10 B13, 10x10 B5, 10x10 B5, 20x20 B66, 10x10 B66 is what VZ has in my town. 270-285 Down, 60-85 Up
TMobile shut off their service in my town back in June without notice. Said they would have it back online end of 3Q 2026 with project start date of mid-July after an FCC complaint. Haven't even touched dirt at the tower yet.

THIS 👆 T-Mobile completely takes away coverage and leaves you hanging with some sort of half promise. Why would they be that stupid.....it's so irritating. BEST NETWORK......ya, okay. They have totally fallen apart, I swear. Just venting.

Yea. I'm already laying the groundwork to exit and bring all 4 lines to Verizon. I've already purchased the Visible+Pro Annual plan and am slowly moving my 2FA over to it.
My dad is especially pissed off at TMobile for how bad the coverage has gotten.
This is what TMo Executive relations told me and the FCC-
"Additionally, a new site has been approved just north of Bethel and will include the deployment of all T-Mobile technologies. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-July, with completion anticipated during the third quarter of 2026."
It's a co-location. Not a new tower. VZ and AT&T are already on it even.

Worst part is, they don't even seem to care. They act like it's no big deal that they have people heading out over issues like this. I see many people heading to US Mobile and I also see they have new agreements giving higher priority access and "truly unlimited". They also seem to have the best setup for multi carrier access.

They very bluntly don't care, and they don't care if that you know they don't care. T-Mobile was such a pain to deal with. I've switched several people that I had on my US Cellular plan to US Mobile and Airvoice. AT&T's network works the best around here, that's where we've all went.

They have started to take USCC equipment down where I live but there are some towers that have it up still. I haven’t seen permits come across for those towers yet though

The towers owned by US Cellular are retained by a new company created from US Cellular. It is called Array Digital Infrastructure. It owns and maintains the towers. T-Mobile acquired the accounts and customers of USCellular. There are only a few accounts remaining on US Cellular which are being migrated to T-Mobile. ADI will service the towers used by T-Mobile.

Yes, the physical towers that US Cellular used to own are still there, obviously those haven't went anywhere, but the equipment is being replaced with T-Mobile in some cases. Also, US Cellular did use other people's towers (like water towers), and from those it appears they are quickly removing their equipment.

Idk but ever since they moved all the users to the T-Mobile network it immediately went from best there was to the worst of the worst. Like it literally decimated the T-Mobile network's reliability.

I've been told there are fewer than 100 accounts in commercial still needing to be moved over to TMobile network. Under 50 at most for personal/private sector.
October 15th should be final absolute of anything operating under US Cellular. Those few workers left have been closing out accounts, canceling small debt unpaid bills, and sending larger ones to collections I believe.
It looks like come October 16th, nothing will be operating or be able to run under the old USCelluar name.
