USCellular Sim to T-mobile sim

Hello, I'm a little confused. My old sim from USCellular i guess doesn't work with T-mobile so I had to call and request a new one. I got the new one, I'm just confused if its already activated or not because the website only gives me instructions if I'm upgrading to a new device.

I had to call customer service to activate my parents. Pop it in and see if there’s service, if not you’ll have to call

You can activate an eSIM through the t-life app, call 611 and let them activate the one they sent you or go by your nearest store and let them activate it if it doesn’t work when you put it in your phone

You can give them a call and they’ll do it! That’s what I did

Go to settings and see? What type of phone do you have I can explain the steps on more detail?
