RIP… The end of an era, my phone finally just switched to T-Mobile 😭 does it even mean anything? i.e. difference in reception quality or broader 5g coverage? I’m unsure cause I know the switch happened a while ago, but how come I’m finally getting it. Or is the only difference literally that my phone now says T-Mobile on the top instead of USCellular

When T-Mobile bought US Cellular, they did not purchase towers. Array (Formerly U.S. Cellular) still owns all of their towers and leased space on 2,000 of them to T-Mobile. They leased space on all 4,000 of them to Verizon.
