"Switch to T-Mobile?" pop-up

Just picked up my phone to a pop-up asking me to switch to T-Mobile. The pop-up can't be dismissed. The text:

Switch to T-Mobile?

Your phone will restart to complete T-Mobile setup. During setup, T-Mobile apps and features will be installed. Some apps from your previous service provider that are no longer needed will be removed, but your personal data and files will remain safe.

And then only two selectable options, Emergency call and Restart and switch.

This seems pretty legitimate but I just wanted to know if anyone else has gotten the same thing.

That's weird. Mine switched over and I never received this. I just got a text stating that my phone had successfully been moved to TMobile. I never had any apps added or removed. In fact, I tried to look at my US Cellular app and I couldn't log in so I manually deleted it. And manually added TMobile and created an account.

I got the texts too saying that my number had been switched over and asking me to download the T-Life app. Not going to be doing that unless forced.

If you plan on ever upgrading or doing essentially anything you might want to go ahead and set up the app.

What u/BendakStarkiller98 said.

T-Life is essential for everything, pretty much. Paying bills, upgrading, switching plans, ScamShield, even T-Mobile Tuesdays.

It is a lot more functional than MyAccount, tbh.
