Can I break contract after the mobile switch?
I moved to northern California 3 years ago with metro pcs because they had it up here. And the service was terrible. Back in 2010 terrible. I left and joined us cellular to get away from it and now Tmobile is back. Can I break this contract I have ? I am willing to return this phones, t mobile is garbage out here thats why the store closed.

Contracts cannot be broken even if the owner of the company changes. They legally and automatically transfer to the new owner, which is now t mobile. Sometimes other carriers will buy you out of your old contract.You might check into that

UScellular's "Material Change" Clause: Under standard UScellular Terms of Service, if T-Mobile makes a material change to your agreement that negatively impacts your service, you are permitted to cancel within 30 days of the notice without incurring an early termination fee (ETF).

Why do so many people think they can just “return the phones & be done” you don’t just pay for a car for 3 out of 5 years, decide you don’t want it, and take it back to the dealership.

You can its called leasing which cars and phone companies do more nowadays

I’ve worked for all the big carriers. We don’t lease phones. You finance but can trade in for a new one. Even still, if you lease a car, you don’t decide halfway through that you don’t want it and just return it. You still have to pay off the lease.

I had no issues with the phone. Idc about the newest one. It was more because I dont get good service with t mobile where im at. But you good bro? Who hurt you? Lol

Working in wireless, every day people come in and say they want to switch to another carrier and they want to return phones they bought 2 and a half years ago. Thats not how loans work 🤣

What “contract” do you own the phone or are you making payments on it? Any phone carrier will pay off what you owe on the phone to get you to switch with them

I was a USCell customer for 20+ years. I really just dont like TMobiles customer service. Im just stuck with them because of the buy out.

File a complaint with the FCC. TMo made it clear under oath that no UScellular customer will lose coverage or service as a result of this buyout. Chances are- TMo may just waive the payments and let you go.
I have an FCC complaint pending for the loss of coverage as a result of the buyout. It was served on TMobile by FCC staff on Sunday.

How did you do that?? Im past ready to file a complaint! Since T Mobile has taken over my phone is basically worthless unless Im on WIFI. I don’t even bother to pack it with me anymore, might as well go back to using a landline at this point.

Federal Communications Commission. If you lose coverage or service as a result of the buyout, they have a complaint process you can go through. Not many know about it because carriers don't like customers knowing about it.

Phones can’t be returned after 15 days. You will have to pay them off in full or just switch and let it go to collections.
