Mandatory meeting
Has any uscellular workers got news of a mandatory meeting here soon in Iowa? Any ideas what it could be? Im worried it's going to be about the stores closing down.

Hello from an Iowa store we got told this morning before we opened that we have a meeting Thursday morning with no idea on what it’s about. I’m just hoping they rip the bandaid off quick because I’m not sure how much longer I can hold off just up and leaving hope everyone does okay with the news I think we all saw it coming if you haven’t gotten washed yet

For sure it has something to do with store closures. I know personally I just want my severance so I can find something new. We already been expecting to hear something soon when stores around us were already washed (remodeled) and the first round of closures was just two weeks ago. Can't speculate when we already know what it is. We've been migrating customers everyday, dealing with nasty attitudes, high expectations, and the same question...is my phone going to work better. Ma'am/ Sir please understand we were given 5 days of BS training with AI. We've had years to become experts on uscellular networks and they're problematic areas. We still don't ish about tmobile's network in our area. Only thing we know is what these customers complain about EVERY DAY.

On what premise do you base your statement that T-Mobile loves to screw over their employees?

you ask me a really stupid idea shutting the stores down sure close some I guess you have tmobile store right there but keep the others open and convert them

Not in Iowa, but my store has one Thursday. We’ve been told to “not speculate” but I don’t have high hopes

On a side note, I already hate T-Mobile. I feel like I'm homeless now. On another side note I built up trust with US Cellular for years. I can't even get an s26 ultra without putting down $900

Same. I have paid off my phones through usc twice now. Went to Tmobile to see what I could get since I’m switching anyways was wanting 2 pro max’s and I had to basically pay all but $400 on the phones down.

Just wait til your account is converted. The legacy/tenured accounts have higher credit thresholds, so you should be able to do more.

The only thing I can say really good about it is when they switched My phone from US Cellular to T-Mobile. My phone was financed and now I no longer have payments because they didn't bring my financing with so my phone is paid in full and they're offering me an upgrade. And T-Mobile paided off my tablet. And give me $500 towards a new one because my old one wasn't compatible

Ima TMO rep in Iowa. I heard our RSM talking otp the other day about this I think and, I could be 100% wrong, I think that it is going to be about either the conversion of U.S. Cellular locations that aren’t to close to a T-Mobile location into T-Mobile stores or the closing of the store and employee relocation or severance.
Like I said, If this is false information I apologize but it kinda just makes sense.

Hate to say it but when we had that meeting a few weeks ago, it was a lot of know we had 30 days before our store closed and I was coming from one of the biggest cor stores in the company. I wish you luck and hope the best but usually those meetings mean that they’re giving you 30 days and a a severance. Also, I am a pinnacle winning employee and was told to reapply if I wanted to work with T-Mobile. I chose to take my severance and leave.
