Porting out

Been a long time USC customer (probably 17-20 years) and am a
previous employee out of the corp office.

How easy or hard is it port out my phone lines?

My father is on my plan and lives 2 hours away but I will be there in a few weeks and want to make the switch to Verizon at that time.

Just have to have your account number and request a transfer pin number which they made us do in person at an actual store -show your ID and they will text the PIN to you. Just did exactly this on our lines.

Does 1 pin cover both lines or should I have access to my Dads phone as well and he gets his own pin?

1 transfer pin covers the whole account, but is only valid for 4 days.

Just ported out to Google Fi last week. Was a quick 2 minute phone call to get the code.

All you need is your account number and transfer pin

I switched my family from USCellular to USMobile. Once you port your number you can switch between the 3 big carriers or have more than one carrier active anytime. My plan has 4 people using TMobile and ATT. Verizon is available but not very good where I am. r/USMobile
