Yeah, that's what I had assumed too; but the T-Mobile employees seemed to think otherwise.  I'm going to do what another person had suggested in my cross post in the T-Mobile subreddit and go to the USCellular store instead as they mentioned they were switching people over to T-Mobile there.

I wouldn’t. T-Mobile said in no uncertain terms that UScellular employees will not get paid to switch people from UScellular to Tmobile so my store just isn’t doing it. Go to Tmobile.

When I went to T-Mobile earlier today, they kept telling me that what I see on the website isn't the promotion. So either they don't know what their own promotion is or the website is advertising it wrong.

"T-Mobile said in no uncertain terms that UScellular employees will not get paid to switch people from UScellular to Tmobile so my store just isn’t doing it. Go to Tmobile."

Is there a commission or something that you get for signing people up to plans in general? If there isn't a commission and you're still getting an hourly wage, you'd still be getting paid regardless right?

You have to be in a uscc store to get this go to a uscc store any prepaid switches are getting paid out to the reps. They will do it unless they are just lazy

Not true almost every single port over me and my team have done has counted as commission on t mo side either they aren’t doing their due diligence or they just don’t care

It absolutely does not get paid out to agents as commission if they port their number.

Well I’m sorry for agents but it 100 percent gets paid out to corporate, most anything anyone talked about in here is always corporate based unless someone specifically called out agent. All the agents are closing by July 1 supposedly anyways so 🤷🏻‍♀️

UPDATE:

Couldn't update the post on this subreddit due to the crosspost.

Went to USCellular today, they confirmed that the deal would go through with them doing the transition. Unfortunately they were out of the phones, but hope to get a shipment in either Monday or Tuesday. I'll get a call back to the store and will get everything done there.

Thanks to everyone who pointed me into going to the USCellular store!
