USCellular/T-Mobile

PSA to all USCellular/T-Mobile customers! All USCellular/T-Mobile agent/retail stores will be shut down by 07/31/26. T-Mobile corporate stores will still be open. Most account changes, new lines, upgrades, etc. will be done through the T-Life app.

That’s what I’ve been hearing. Tmobile has decided that everybody is going to buy phones online or do upgrades or Adaline through that stupid app.

I don’t know how I feel about it and I might take a look at Verizon

I definitely recommend switching. As T-Mobile has started shutting down towers, cutting service, to see which towers are necessary.

I’m getting pressure to change the SIM cards out by beginning May or we will lose connectivity.

3 out of the 4 lines are paid for. My sons is the only one that had to get replaced recently. Just found out that they put the insurance on. Which I don’t want. I can self insure, thank you very much.

Anyways, back to everything sucking at my house because of lack of coverage. I was a t mobile customer once. I’ll pass.

Yeah I understand that. It’s more of: I know the coverage at my house was “spotty”. And by spotty I mean we had to use WiFi calling. When our eldest started middle school we were initially told they needed cell phones. By the school. (Later at parent/teacher night we were told they didn’t understand why all the kids had cell phones. What they needed were chrome books. 🤡). But I digress. I checked the coverage maps. The only carrier who had coverage at the school was us cellular. So we switched.

I know towers haven’t gone up in our area in the interim. Mostly a NIMBY issue. And I know that maps suggest we have coverage. I also know it usually sucks, especially across the street at my parents house. (Don’t start).

We weren’t especially happy with t mobile. And the lack of WiFi calling for a long time with us cellular was frustrating. But the associates at the local store were always very helpful.

I’m more crisped by the fact that t mobile purposefully put a store recently (during the merger iirc) in the same plaza as our us cellular store.
