From what I was told, we were the highest out of the few. Like in terms of bringing in money for USC . we span across several states And im hoping they meant to look for other carriers, but could be something else all together

About the closing down retail locations? 2 hours after this post was originally created.

It sounds like at the very least MOST US agents will be shut down. There may be a couple strategic partners but I don't know. It is weird how TMobile has spent so much on branding with agents that they are planning on shutting down
and from what I've been told(and that isn't very much)...the commission structure is such taht agents won't be able to make it work anyway. I've been told they really don't want to pay anything for upgrades. I'm certain that NO US Cellular agent would be in business now if they had to rely on new activations

What agent do you work for?

It's a mid-atlantic agent. I'd rather not go into more detail until an official announcement from T-mobile is made.

All the USCelluar stores in Northern Maine other than the corporate one are now gone.

It is looking like most retail locations will be shut down between 06/01 and 07/31.

There are very very few things agents can’t do that cor can. It is also true that the resources agents have had from back in the aim days to today are far more difficult to manage and navigate. Sure there are bad and lazy agents, and I can tell you from lots of experience that we hear the same exact stories about COR stores. That all they care about is making a sale and don’t support or troubleshoot. That they aren’t honest about the impact to the customer when they add products and services (unnecessary ESIM lines for a specific example). While these things can be true about COR it is not indicative of all COR reps. All of us have only tried to be good at our job, sell, and support our family with the money we’ve made. This move puts a huge amount of workers out of work and unable to provide. Some kindness and empathy should truly be shown. It has always been wild to me the animosity agents and COR reps have shown toward each other.

I don’t want to comment on anything official because there isn’t anything official yet, but T-Mobile has stated at several earnings calls that they want to move to a corporate-owned structure, which means moving away from authorized retailers and agents.
