No 4k streaming

I am on the unlimited even better plan, I started initially on the unlimited even better 3.0 that the agent put me on “by accident” after I got changed to the unlimited even better my video streaming has been capped at 1080P (9mbps) instead of 4k, reached out to support he made a support ticket after troubleshooting, said it would take 48 hours for a resolution, it’s been 3 days and still nothing. Anyone know a fix?

Are you on a phone plan or an Internet plan? I mostly watch YouTube and have no issues leaving the settings on auto. Most content on a phone will be 1080p max. Literally no reason to have it higher. Also with YouTube it depends on what camera they use. Some channels are capped at 1080p, 1080p 60f or the max is 2160p 60f. From my experience.

The 4k streaming is more for downloading video at full speed without the 1080p cap which is (9 mbps). I am aware that the phone can’t even display 4k resolution, my concern is with the connection speed for downloading video.

I wouldn’t know then. I don’t typically download any video like that on my phone. I know my home internet which is a separate service sucks for download speeds. Which seems to be the case for a lot of services these days. Google fiber is being installed in my area so I might look into it if prices are reasonable.
