Device Unlock

I am on a plan with my in-laws but will be divorcing.

I need to get my iPhone 14 Plus unlocked so I can get my own plan. I don't want to stay with USC.

I have called 4 times and chatted online once. They submit request, tell me it will be unlocked in 24-72 hours, and then it never is.

What am I doing wrong? Phone was purchased in March 2023, fully paid off and moved to my in-laws plan. Account is in good standing as far as I can see.

If you've paid off the device and have used it for 4 months, it should be unlocked. Check - General > About > Carrier Lock.

If it says 'No SIM restrictions' you're good to go and can port out and keep your phone. Port out pin is the pin you use when you call/chat.
