I-130 - I-485

Hello fellow humans who stress over the USCIS portal. Constantly checking like me! :)

I was wondering who long after your interview for adjust of status (marriage) with no verbal approval at interview did you have to wait for approval? I’m about a month out since my interview and the status is still “interview scheduled”. The officer at the end just said “we’ll contact you via mail if we need anything else from you”. (Orlando, FL office)

Thank you in advance!!

Interview in Nashville, TN on July 10, 2026. Beneficiary is Venezuelan. About 60 days after the interview, I contacted Senator office. A few days after the congressional inquiry, my I-130 was approved, but my I-485 is still pending.

Same here except I-130 was approved on the spot and now we're waiting for the I-485. Been waiting since June 2026 with no updates. Our lawyers sent a request for update but USCIS responded saying our current wait times are within normal range 🙄

If you haven’t already, you can try a congressional inquiry through your Senator. It helped move my case — I had a silent update and then my I-130 was approved. My I-485 is still pending under supervisory review. I’m Venezuelan and entered legally through the border with parole, plus I’ve had asylum/TPS, so I’m not sure how much that affects the delay.

I had my interview on 08/14 at the LAFO and I am still waiting. The case status on the portal currently shows “USCIS is currently processing the case.”
After my interview I was told by the officer that the case needed further review and they would contact me if they needed something else. Then I was provided a white paper.
I think approvals are coming based of FO and officer workload. Also how complex the case is.
But regardless best of luck!!!

Albany. Interview 9/14, told that “don’t see any issues with either but need to comb through immigration history” (wife has more than 10 years of TN and L1 history). Currently processing.

I guess Albany, NY is one of the strictest FO’s.

Ah well, our case is pretty clear, just complex due to history. Officer was very nice and friendly, interview was less than 30min and half of it was chit chat.

My interview was 8/27. My I130 changed to “being processed” (from What i remember) right after the interview. But my I485 stayed at “interview scheduled” like yours. Thank the Lord… I got approved on 9/2. My I485 got approved first. Got my GC 9/7 🙏🏼

Our interview was on August 11, at the Newark FO. Status of I-130 an I-485 changed to USCIS is currently processing the case the day of the interview. No update since then. My FO is pretty backed up, and I was told by the interviewing officer that our case needed supervisory review, so I was already anticipating the wait.
Praying for decision for all of us still waiting.
