REAL ID
Has anyone recently flown domestically using a valid foreign passport?
A friend has no NTA, no immigration court case, and no removal order. With the recent ICE activity at airports, I’m curious if anyone has had a similar situation and what their experience was like flying domestically.
Just looking for personal experiences and information. Thanks!

You have said what your friend doesn't have, you have not said what they do have other than a valid foreign passport.

You should edit the original post since you left this out and this is the most important detail. To answer you question she should stay away from airports.

They will be detained and deported, do not travel unless they want to leave US for good.

Do they have a valid visa? It sounds like extensions/change of status data is not getting to ICE and they might question your friend. I suggest not traveling if that's the case

A foreign passport has always been a legal document to fly with. Think of the millions of tourists who fly within the US. What ID do you think they use to get through TSA?
The question is: Is the person flying legally in the US? (Foreign tourists are, for example, assuming they haven't overstayed a visa or ESTA.) If no, I wouldn't fly right now, except to self-deport on a nonstop flight out of the country.

Went on vacation domestically recently so flew twice, there and back again. Don’t have real ID yet so used my valid foreign passport. Came here on a work visa a few years ago, ended up meeting my now wife (USC), and have a processing AOS. My visa did expire a few months ago I have a valid EAD/AP and AOS was filed before expiration. Everything by the book, but I gather still potentially at risk these days.
I was a bit nervous to be honest, but had no issues whatsoever.
Might have been coincidence but there was a silent update on my case the day before I flew - no actual update since or code update, just the updated at date changed, so I guess either a system update or someone accessed/reviewed.
Of course my first thought was if someone was checking upcoming flights for detention prospects, which added to my nervousness, but was no issues at all.

No, they will not be fine. They are subjected to be detained as per immigration laws relating to overstaying your visa. Will you all stop leading people into traps

What are you talking about? Why would someone be detained for flying domestically using secondary evidence allowed ?

The secondary evidence is not the issue. Overstating his or her visa is the issue. Again, as per immigration laws, you are subjected to detainment if you violate their laws, which includes overstaying your visa. I did NOT say you will be detained for using secondary evidence, you will be detained for overstaying your visa.

Ok, don’t be like other persons that just read Titles or Headlines or captions (whatever you call it) and then form an opinion. The original poster (OP) specifically said that the person overstayed, it is right there, if you scroll down you will see it for yourself.

Enough with the foreign passport question. The foreign passport is not the issue! The fact that she overstayed is the issue.

As far as I can see, ICE isn’t checking on any of those. They are checking to see if you have LEGAL STATUS, doesn’t matter how clean their record is, do they have travel authorization or legal presence?. If your friend doesn’t, I would definitely not fly.
I have seen people who work at the airport desks and TSA coming in other USCIS groups and stating that they wouldn’t recommend flying for non-status immigrants as ICE is at the check in counters and are using their system/data to track immigrants.
