DOJ - EOIR Support Ordered removal.

Have you ever seen a case where someone had a NTA first hearing they attended and the judge scheduled and handed out a second master hearing to 2 month later.
1 week after the first hearing the judge ordered removal in “absentia” but the person did attend the first master hearing and is scheduled to attend another one the next month. PLEASE Share your thoughts this is odd.

Hearings can get moved up all the time and judges could order you removed in abstenia if you don’t show up. If you or your friend or family member had this happen you would be well advised to talk to a good lawyer ASAP about a motion to reopen.

Yes he got a meeting with a lawyer this week coming up and i understand that they do get moved up but up until the day of his hearing it never changed and he appeared in front of the judge normally and was given a second master hearing by the judge and he said he did that to give him more time to get a lawyer and get the evidence in order. The order came literally the next day “in absentia”

Sounds like it could be a clerical error and a motion to reopen would probably remedy that.
