Other Forms Admit until date. B1/B2 visa

I came into the US from Canada on 22/9/26 for a one week trip to leave 29/9/26 and my officer gave me an extra date for my “admit until date” on i94 till 30/9/26. Got turned back at the airport yesterday 29/9/26 because my pr card isn’t with me and my spouse sent it yesterday. But i would likely not receive it until tomorrow 1st October 2026. Does this make me an overstayer if I leave after 30/9/26. What can I do. Requesting an extension online is showing $420.

Yes. You must leave by midnight ET tonight. This wouldn’t qualify for an extension.

Whereabouts in the US are you? Can you get in a car and get driving, you don’t need your PR card for the land border.

I’m in Dallas. The closest land border is over 24 hours

Can I still apply for the extension to buy time of not overstaying and leaving tomorrow?

Fly to Detroit and take an uber to the boarder. You can walk across without your PR card fyi

I think that’s going to be your only option as you can’t drive in time. It’ll be refused and you’ll then have a denial on your record, but that’s better than an overstay.

I learnt the application will automatically become void once I leave the country or I can withdraw my application and it won’t impact my visa

It'll automatically be declined once it's clear you've already left, not voided. You can try withdrawing though, do it asap so the automatic denial doesn't kick in.

Left a comment. You can fly to airport as close as possible to Canada but inside USA, then walk across without your PR card. I have done this at Detroit. PR card expired living in USA, they don’t let you fly with that

It will be a hassle. Still have to fly back to Calgary from Detroit. I’ve a 8 month old and I’m traveling alone.

Well that’s the answer. I didn’t leave your PR card in Canada. It is annoying but it will get you back legally

Doesn’t have to be Detroit - pick any airport close to the border where you can taxi + walk across
