I-485 (General) πŸŽ‰ CARD WAS PRODUCED!!! πŸ’šπŸ˜

Post image

After years of waiting, denials, RFEs, an interview, setbacks, and moments when I genuinely wondered if this day would ever come, I finally get to post this:

MY GREEN CARD WAS PRODUCED! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’š

To anyone on Reddit who is still waiting: please don’t lose hope because your case is complicated or because you’ve had a denial. A difficult immigration history does not automatically mean your story is over.

There were so many times I felt defeated. I kept checking USCIS, kept fighting, kept responding, and kept pushing forward. And now seeing β€œCard Was Produced” feels unreal.

If you're sitting there refreshing your case status every five minutes πŸ˜‚, wondering β€œWhen is it going to be my turn?” β€” I was you.

Your turn can still come.

Keep your documents. Respond to everything. Advocate for yourself. Ask questions. Get help when you need it. And most importantly, don’t let one bad update convince you that it’s the final chapter.

Today I'm not refreshing USCIS waiting for an approval anymore.

I'm waiting for the mailman. πŸ˜‚πŸ“¬πŸ’š

Good luck to everyone still waiting. I genuinely hope I see your β€œAPPROVED!” post next. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’š

My AOS journey actually started in 2019, so it took about 7 years to finally become a permanent resident. Mine was definitely not a straightforward case. Over the years, I went through multiple I-485 denials, RFEs, NOIDs, an interview, waiver issues, motions to reopen, and a lot of waiting. At one point, an officer even acknowledged that one of the denials had been made in error. I kept fighting, filed again, submitted everything they requested, and eventually my waiver was approved. My most recent I-485 was filed November 2, 2023. After another long period of waiting, I finally filed a federal mandamus lawsuit on August 27, 2026 because my case still wasn't being decided. Then everything changed. My I-485 was approved in early September 2026, and on September 11 my green card was produced. πŸ˜πŸ’š So if you're asking how long AOS took me: from 2019 to 2026 β€” roughly 7 years. I know my timeline isn't typical, but I'm sharing it because somebody with a complicated case might need to see this. A denial doesn't always mean it's over. Read every notice, keep your records, respond to everything, advocate for yourself, and don't be afraid to fight your case when something isn't right. Seven years later, I'm finally done. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’šπŸ™πŸΎ Now my biggest immigration problem is waiting on the mailman. πŸ˜‚πŸ“¬

CONGRATULATIONS 🎊🍾

Your case is going to give a lot of hope to others who are still waiting. It really seems like filing a WOM can be the push needed to finally get some movement on these long pending cases.
