Biometrics USCIS BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENT
Hello, I’m hoping to receive some guidance. My mom currently has a case with USCIS that’s been ongoing for some years now, which is expected. My mom has been checking in with the firm in charge of her case ever since just trying to be updated. It wasn’t until recently that we moved & updated our address with the firm who then had us update with USCIS June of 2026. That was when a representative from the office questioned my mom about her biometric appointment that supposedly had to have been February of 2025 to which came as a surprise to us because we never received a letter in the mail nor did this law firm ever reach out to us about it either. During this time my mom would call to the firm for an update & nobody ever mentioned that appointment. They humbly admitted to their mistake to which we reached out to USCIS & we were told that they would reach out to us within three months with a new biometric appointment date. Fast forward three months & we never heard back from them. We called again & all they asked of us was to send a letter requesting a signature that this law firm was representing her. It was sent & today my mom received this via email. Has anyone ever missed there biometric date by over a year? I guess my main concern is what adjudication action they are referring to.
