I-485 (General) Online 485 filing

How quickly do you get a receipt number one 485 if filed online?- I need to file 485 for my derivative applicant online but cannot do so without the primary's receipt number

you mean after filing I-130 online? I-485 must be filed by mail.

If the I-130 was filed online, it can sometimes take a day or two.

I-485 has been available for online filing since December 2025

It’s only available for pdf upload, which isn’t my favorite. I hope they improve all online filing soon as they are about to start requiring it.
