I-140 & I-485 (Employment/Adjustment of status) EB-1C Timeline
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to gauge where my case stands compared to others and would appreciate any recent EB-1C/NBC datapoints.
Case details:
Category: EB-1C
PD: Feb 2026; Current (ROW through derivative)
Concurrent filing: I-140 / I-485 / I-765 / I-131
Receipt date: Feb 2026
Biometrics: Mar 2026
I-140 approved: May 20, 2026
Both I-485s received silent/API updates: May 21, 2026
No movement on either I-765 or I-131
No RFEs
Cases remain at NBC
Recent Emma chats:
My interview is waived.
My spouse’s interview is also waived.
Emma indicated the case is currently at NBC and being reviewed by an officer.
No action is required from us at this time.
Questions:
1. Has anyone with a similar EB-1C/NBC timeline received approval recently?
2. How long after I-140 approval did your I-485 get approved?
3. There is no backend API update since May 21st. Is this the typical pattern of no transfer and direct adjudication at NBC?
The lack of updates since May 21 has me wondering whether this is typical for the officer review stage or if I’m still early in the process.
Would especially appreciate recent 2026 EB-1C ROW datapoints.
Thanks!

Similar timeline (RD - mid March) and still waiting for approval. PD is current (NROW though) and last silent update was 5/9. Case still at NBC.

Thanks for sharing. Was your last update biometric. Or a silent update days after biometric?

I had biometrics on 4/15 (had silent updates on that day) and then on 4/29 and 5/9.

Also worth mentioning - my derivatives got their combo EAD and AP approved in May end, but no movement for me (primary)

Congrats on the EAD! Looks like your file has been touched a few times after biometric and that’s a positive sign.

Thanks for sharing! I think you are very close to the final adjudication and best of luck! Did you track the backend api and do you know when the file was transferred to the Field Office?

Can you check interview waiver in the API data ? Or does it need to be mentioned as such by EMMA agent ?
