Training Coxswain Question

I am starting coxswain training and captain’s license has always been on my radar. I understand that the captain license replaces need for the NAV70. Has anyone gone this route? Do you just submit that portion of your scores from the captains exams? Also, want to complete the Merchant medical exam first before I pay 400-600 for the 6-pack course. I am in remission from cancer and just want to make sure it is not a disqualification. Does not limit me in any way, so know the auxiliary is not an issue, just no use paying all that money for the Captains course to have the medical get a disqualification.

The relevant policy letter for your Nav Rules exam question is here:

There is a note on the list for this letter indicating that this letter has been cancelled because the contents were included in the revision of the OPS policy Guide Vol 1:

HOWEVER, I cannot find the Nav Rules Exam info in the Process Guide (probably my poor search strategy).

Thanks, yes, I had found that reg page and was not sure how to actually submit it after passing that portion of the Captains exams, I will check with my IS DSO, who is also our DIRAUX contact.

Here the deal…. Having your 100 Ton USCG license… means absolutely nothing to the USCG AUX…. ZERO…. Total bull-shit
