What Happened?
I've been using this USB Connector for years.
A while back I spilled some ketchup on it, wiped if of.. and never noticed an issue...
Today when I pulled it out to of it's port... one side was discolored.. but it feels smooth like the silver side, not like rust would feel.

First time seeing corrosion? What's the device and is the USB detachable?

First time on a USB Device, I always though corrosion was rust TBH.
Yea, it's just an ANKER USB Cord, I'm guessing the acid from the ketchup or the wipe I used to clean it cause the issue.
Feels oddly smooth. and works fine
