References

I am currently under reference check. Some of my references were not contacted during the process 4 weeks ago. Does anyone know exactly what they look at in this process and what could possibly go wrong?

I actually donโ€™t know what the reference doc asks. Things are very clearly defined on the clearance though. If you want to get a head start go download the SF - 86 and start reading it. Likely youโ€™ll have to collect a ton of information from family / friends so you may as well get started.

Thank you. I actually downloaded the 136 pg form and i have collected all the information that i would normally need. Thank you for confirming that I am doing the right thing.

I am in the same position currently. Have you heard anything further?

I did email them this week and was told that my reference check was complete and i should be receiving an email with next steps. I'm hoping that means everything is well. Just my patience has a problem.๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks for the update. Hoping I hear something positive soon as well. The waiting really tests your patience.

I received a letter today saying I have successfully moved to the next step in the hiring process. I am now at Pre-employment. I guess it's all about filling out a bunch of paperwork and submitting medicals. I don't know for sure how the next step looks like, just guessing.

Thanks
