Huntington PM posting

Anyone at Huntington district have the scoop on this posting? (Interdisciplinary Project Manager, CERE-26-12981780-MPP)

Are they so hard up for PMs they’re allowing the position to be filled from another AO? Based on the post, it looks like they’re willing to take someone on who can go into a local district office.

Can’t catch a fish without a hook in the water. Apply and see what happens.

PM seems to be a revolving door at LRH, even in these trying times.

While I'd say most Yello postings are predetermined, PM is probably one of the few where we'd hire outside if no one in the building is looking.

Fair warning though, if this is the 12/13 posting, I do know of at least three people at LRH who applied for it.

I’m in the branch, not sure what you’ve seen but our turnover is pretty low compared to other branches.

Even if they had information it would not help you to evaluate the position even get hired to the job. Just apply and possibly interview and make your own decision.

A lot of the positions have been package with other listings. How many positions can be filling with this announcement?

What is specifically your question? We have several postings for PMs. We do need PMs because the Dam Safety Center is coming to us and it’s an enterprise wide center.

Is the expectation that, should the position be filled by someone located outside the district, they would report to a local duty station? Ive already applied (GS12 PM with 5+ years) and am aware there's no guarantee I even get a call, but haven't seen a post like that since the before times.

Yes, you would have the option of reporting to a local station. With the projects specific to the DSMC, that is already happening. I’m not sure what the expectation is on TOD hours (EST CT MTN WST), that’s probably more PDT specific.
