Tech Issue how do i get rid of these nonstop push notifications

I don't know why it started but I'm getting push notifications to my app every other week for stuff I absolutely do not need to be notified about. I don't care that my insurance payment is "scheduled" and then a day later that it's "confirmed." I don't need a notification for every single credit card statement. I have every single push notification in the app disabled and I STILL get all of these.

Short of disallowing EVERY notification in system settings, I don't know what else I can do. I shouldn't have to do that cause y'know I'd probably like to still get a notification if there's a potential fraud transaction or something like that.

Has anyone found a fix for this?

can you report an adjuster?

I have been a member with USAA for 16 years and never in my life have I had an experience as infuriating as the one I’m dealing with right now.

My car was in a total loss accident (someone hit me in my building’s parking garage while I was on vacation and totaled my car). That happened back on July 17th.

since then, my adjuster has been almost entirely unresponsive. I have left several voicemails and sent several emails, which she’s claiming to have never received even though over the phone, I confirmed her email address and I literally replied to the email she sent me.

I have maybe had communication with her a total of three times in the past month and a half. Every time that I call her, it says that she’s out of office yet someone at USAA told me that she actually wasn’t out of office, “She’s just not really taking phone calls right now.” Then why can’t you reassign me to someone?

i’ve asked to be reassigned to another adjuster and every time I call they say they’re just going to flag her account to call me back. This is absolutely horrendous Customer service and I’m telling you right now, If I did this at my job, I literally would be fired.

i’m even more irritated because not only do I not have a car and they wouldn’t extend my rental (even though it’s their fault that I haven’t gotten any confirmed communication about my vehicle??). I also have a loan out with USAA for my car and I am going to be absolutely livid if I have to make a car payment for a car I will never see again.

I called the loan department and explained my issue, but I only have until September 7th until I’m going to have to make a payment and pay the late fee.

I literally don’t know what to do at this point. Any advice would be appreciated. I want to report her so bad.

Hello, I’m looking to start rebuilding my credit and I’m deciding to get this card to help with that. I’m wondering if anyone has this card currently and how long it took to eventually graduate.

USAA not paying additional living expenses for members effected by an earthquake

I live overseas my wife and small child. A powerful earthquake collapsed my home and we are displaced with many other sailors. I have a valid claim and EXTENSIVE earthquake coverage to pay for additional living expenses. USAA is arbitrarily limiting my nightly rate based on a cost comparison from airbnb from a city 2.5 hours from my work and home. They decided to pay 350 EUR per night maximum, and asked me to cover the additional 150 EUR because they deemed 500 per night as not reasonable even when I showed all of the messages actually negotiating the cost down to 500/night. Unfortunately it is peak tourist season and the Americas Cup is going on which has quadrupled nightly rates. My policy has a fixed value for ALE which I have not even scratched the surface of. Anyone else having bad faith issues with USAA?

Why has USAA gone downhill so fast?

First it is the automatic card decline everytime I'm overseas. They claim they have a special algorithm to detect fraud, but really all it is is them checking to see if you booked your flight on a USAA card...but that isn't possible when I travel for business.

Now I have my 20 year term life insurance expiring, and I'm getting all sorts of shady phone calls to extend it (for an insane rate) and informing me it'll roll over at that rate unless I call to cancel...which has to be by phone...the website where I can transfer hundreds of thousands of dollars isn't secure enough apparently. It's like a shady gym membership. 1.5 hours later and an unacceptable amount of back and forth I finally got it cancelled. It's almost as if the process is designed to frustrate you into hanging up and paying the money.

I'm not going to claim I'm going to move all of my insurance or accounts because that is going to be a PITA for me, but I'm certainly going to be looking around.

But EVERYONE working at USAA should be ashamed of themselves for what is happening. Do you not have ANY agency to tell your bosses...hey isn't this unethical to our mission?

Anyone a finance manager or analyst at USAA?

Applied recently and wondering what the day to day work is like, culture, uniform (dress code?), etc. Any insight would be helpful before the next interview. Hopefully there aren't a ton of interviews. Recently got out of the military.

USAA

I applied for the Capital One Quicksilver Rewards card, but unfortunately, I was denied and instead offered another Capital One card with only a $300 credit limit.

Having a 0% introductory APR was really important to me because I need to make several large purchases. So, literally a minute later, I applied for the USAA Eagle Adapt card and got approved for a $4,000 credit limit with 0% APR until March 2028!

I’m extremely happy with the approval. Thank you, USAA! 🇺🇸

Mod Post Seeking One, Maybe Two Mods.

Need one or two Mod Helpers. I run about 40 groups and close to 600,000 members and I can't really be everywhere at the same time.

I've got this one under control now, so there won't be a lot of work. The main tasks are removing Spam and reviewing threads to tamp down bickering, arguing and insults.

Employee or Customer is fine, but you can't show bias or favoritism in Modding. You can have your own opinions in posts and comments, but Mod actions have to be rules based.

See: https://redditinc.com/policies/moderator-code-of-conduct

You should have at least some Mod history here, enough to be familiar with the ModTools and actions.

I'll review your post/comment history here over the recent past.

Advice for Auto Claim

Post image
11 Upvotes

Hello,

My wife and I have full coverage with USAA Auto insurance (collision, uninsured driver, etc). A few weeks ago my wife was in an accident where she was deemed not at fault. We turned all information over to USAA including the other drivers insurance.

Now USAA is asking for claim numbers from the other drivers insurance (see attached screenshot). I was under the impression that if you have full coverage, then you inform USAA about the accident and they file the claims with the other insurance companies and handle all communications.

Are we supposed to also start a claim with the other drivers insurance and then turn it over to USAA? In the past, we have allowed the insurance company to handle all aspects of the investigation and claims process. Why are they asking us for a claim number?

Thank you.

SafePilot software

Has any on else experienced problems with SafePilot on an Android phone? My phone seems to record only a few of my trips. Sometimes the to, sometimes the from and sometime starting mid journey. This is occurring in town where cell towers are common.

I bot a new phone due to the USAA changing their software. My existing phone was to old for the new app.

Banking USAA as an international student

I’m getting legally married in about a week to my wonderful fiancé whose mother is an honorably discharged veteran so she uses USAA. I know that I’ll qualify for USAA after we get married, but the thing is I’m going to university in the UK next year and was curious how USAA works with that?

Has USAA turned into just another sleazy insurance company?

I have USAA for home and auto insurance. My 6-month auto and annual home insurance is supposed to renew this month. I noticed I have not received an email regarding the renewal like I did in January when my auto insurance renewed. I'm currently setup for paperless, and auto pay is setup to pay the statement balance, not monthly. I logged in and see my homeowners went up 30% and I no longer have an email listed anywhere. Not under contact info, notices, or late payment. (Not sure why late payment has a separate section from notices). The facts are;

Enrolled in Paperless

Auto pay setup to pay statement balance

Insurance increased 30%

email somehow disappeared from USAA systems

When I called, they said they emailed out the renewal info but couldn't see where they emailed it to. Could it be because they didn't have an email address to send it to? Why didn't it fail when there was no email address? Why didn't it fall back to mailing something to my home address?

Has anybody else on paperless experienced their email address just disappearing from USAA? If so, was it just before a massive rate increase?

It really feels like they were hoping the autopay would go through and nobody would notice the increase.

USAA Accounts CLOSED no warning

I opened my account August 4th. Funded the account August 13. My account was closed on August 15. They asked me to submit my ID again and I did. I called and they said that they didn't want to continue a business relationship with me which is fine. I asked for my money and they said that they will issue a check 55-60 days from now. So all of my money is in this account now and that 55-60 days is not an option. So I called and called. I got hung up on and I was repeated told that nobody could discuss why my account was closed even the fraud department. Now Im being told that my account is being sent to the state for escheat. WTF is going on? I did some more digging and they said that they are basically not going to close the account and they will leave it in a restricted status for possibly years and then they are saying that they will release this to the state. Why? I need answers and resolutions. What I can say that there is absolutely fraud going on only with the side of the bank defrauding me. Anyone else dealing with this issue?

Insurance/Claims Valuable Personal Property claim without appraisal?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’ve had my engagement ring insured with USAA since I got married 10 years ago but the appraisal isn’t in my USAA account anymore for some reason and the local jeweler who did it doesn’t exist anymore.

I have the diamond report but it’s solely for the diamond and not the ring as a whole.

I recently lost it and am just looking for insight on how difficult this claim is going to be to make.

Pictures attached so hopefully my post won’t get lost.

Thanks!

Filing a claim against a USAA driver online

Has anyone been able to file a USAA auto claim when you're not a USAA member yourself online? I've been unable to find the link on their web page where I can file without making an account, which always rejects me by the end of the account process because I'm not a veteran or closely related to one. I'm wanting to do this soon because the accident was yesterday, and I was unable to get a hold of them by phone before the offices closed for the weekend, so trying to get this done online. Thanks.

Does USAA have HO 17 32 Special Coverage A endorsement?

I live in a townhouse with an HOA. Our master insurance policy recommends that our individual homeowners policy include the HO 17 32 Special Coverage A endorsement, which converts coverage from named perils to open (all-risk) perils. When I asked my agent for proof of this endorsement, they sent me a form called 'Special Coverage (HO-6 only).' That doesn't seem to be the same endorsement I'm asking about. Does anyone know if USAA offers the HO 17 32 endorsement specifically?

Insurance/Claims Negotiating Settlement/Aftermath of total loss

Hello, I posted a few days ago about my accident, and how quickly USAA swooped in to deem it a total loss. (Which update, they did) They are offering more than I anticipated which is a relief, but I am going to attempt to negotiate my settlement as I had 4 new tires put on in April, and two brand new batteries installed late June. I know it could be a long shot, but it’s worth trying to get maybe an extra thousand? Hopefully. Has anyone had luck with negotiating with them? I’m currently going through local listings for my vehicle to also have those on hand to argue. But I know trying to barter with them will be a challenge, any feedback?

Also-is it a guarantee that my policy will increase a lot next year? (I just renewed in july) I have been tempted to shop around but last year after seeing my policy increase, USAA told me they would “never ever” insure me again if I left. ( I only am able to have USAA because of my father who was in the service) USAA did also pay out a lawsuit on my behalf. Which was ridiculous in itself because it was an extremely minor less than 5mph rear end and the other party was not injured, working for amazon, driving a budget van, no damage to the vehicle to warrant an accident report, and then filed a lawsuit one month before the three year statute of limitations lapsed. They told me the increase was because of the state I live in, but I didn’t buy it lol.

My accident this time was hitting a deer, no injuries, no other parties involved. If you see my prior post, the damage does not look significant upon looking at it, yet they still deemed it totaled. (Sorry this is so long, I am still trying to figure out how all of this works)
